#HowTo #Collect Treasures that are 'Locked' behind Buildings (or Monuments) in #KlondikeTheLostExpedition @Vizor_Games @helpShift | #Collected #Collecting

Playing Klondike: The Lost Expedition, sometimes you will 'see' treasure that players are "supposed" to pick up (usually nests full of eggs; 'hidden' behind a building or monument, but 'visible' if you mouseover the top half of the construction).

But if you uncover one of those hidden nests, you cannot "search the nest" (to see if its eggs are real or just a mirage (on account another friend having taken the eggs before you and the area's owner having not yet taken the nest away)) because the construction 'hides' it again when you move your mouse down to it.

But can you find another way to 'search the nest'? Well, Vizor Games explains one way you can- but reminds us of a few of the ways you can't-in a report linked through 'that word' below; but first I want to understand that word better. And I find you understand words better if you look at 'the words at their base' (then going on to look at the words at those words' bases, then the words at those words' bases, etc.-etc. ad infinitum)

The word “Collect (\ #Collectible #Collection #Collector #ReCollect #Recollection #Uncollected)” is built on ancient words that mean "to |Gather Together."

The "Permanent Lands" the link is talking-about are (I think) all the listed locations in this map (except for the "Home Station").

The locations it doesn't 'solve the problem'-for are your Home-Station, your Neighbors' Home-Stations, the 'Railway Lands' (lands like those on the map; except you reach them via the train & railway you build, rather than the dog-sled or the airplane you put together), nor "labyrinths or any other location where the treasure containers automatically open and go to your home storage."

So how do you open 'treasures behind buildings' in those areas? Well,
  • At your own home-station, I haven't seen any method except 'moving the building or monument in order to get to the treasure' (although you're not always able to move the buildings)

I've heard that they advise you put decorations right behind your buildings or -put your buildings right up-against the mountain-walls to keep this from happening.
  • At neighbors' home-stations, clicking the buildings to 'dig under them' renders them temporarily translucent so you can search the nests formerly 'hidden' behind them.
  • I haven't examined at the Railway Lands or the Labyrinths yet, but I imagine the method is probably the same as at your- or neighbors'-Home Stations.
