The word “Transitive” (a verb which a sentence's subject does to the object, rather than a verb that is done to the subject (She breaks my heart" as opposed to "My heart breaks")) is built on ancient words that mean "to Go Across, -Beyond (see Trans-)."
WHAT ARE MONTHLY TRANSITS?
The cosmos is in constant flux; planets are in constant motion. These current movements relative to position of the planets at the time of your birth, in Astrology, are called transits. Transits are determined by comparing you birth chart with the current position of the planets.
Transits can be short term and long term. Faster moving planets such as Venus would yield shorter transits versus slowing moving planets such as Neptune. Our transit tool allows you to see what transits both short term and long term you have for the next month.
An astrologer interprets transit to see their influence on your strengths, weaknesses, talents, or opportunities. The degree of strength of the influence can depend on how loose or tight your aspect with the transiting planet is. Its height of influence is when transiting planet are at an exact aspect with your planet.
It's basically the difference between 'points on your chart at "some time in the past" (usually in the last month, but possibly all the way back to the time of your birth)' and 'the same points at this moment.' For example, my Transit-Chart for March 30, 2021, reads:
