This comes up when I think about 'what our thanks means to God.'

We are thankful for 'the work done by God's 'Children' (or 'the anointed workers in his company').

That brings up the text of 1 Corinthians 3:9 - 
for of God we are fellow-workmen; God's tillage, God's building ye are.

The word that's translated 'fellow-workmen' is "συνεργοί" (synergoi) ... Synergy?
