Golf Scoring Terms:
  • Par - the number of strokes they say it'll probably take you to get the golf-ball into the hole (e.g. if they think it'll take 3 strokes, it's a Par-3 hole; Par-4 for 4 strokes, Par-5 for 5; and those three are the usual 'Pars' (I don't know if there are any Par-1s, -2s, -6s, -7s, etc.)
  • Birdie - when the golfer sinks the ball in '1-less stroke than par' (or '1 under par')
  • Bogey - 1 over par
  • Eagle - 2 under par
  • Double-Bogie - 2 over par
  • Double-Eagle (or Albatross) - 3 under par
  • Triple-Bogie - 3 over par
  • Condor - 4 under par
  • Ace - a hole-in-one, no matter what the hole's par is|Golf|
