Know When a #Curfew is in-place over Your Area @YouthRights (#NYRA (#NationalYouthRightsAssociation)) @TabsForACause @FindLawConsumer @Ecosia @FastCompany
'That word' (below-hyperlinked to the NYRA's list of "over 400 of the cities with Mandatory Curfews for children") is built on an even-deeper source ... something crucial that firms the foundation upon which our lexicon stands ...
The word “Curfew (Periodic Restriction of Movement)” is built on ancient words that mean "to |Cover |Fire/|Focus (from medieval times, when a Bell was Rung to Signal that all Fires & Lights of the Village should be |Extinguished (in order to prevent Conflagrations of Untended Fires after Bedtime))"
Actually, I'm not sure if you're under curfew. I guess I don't know the right way to Search for 'listings of areas under "Mandatory Curfew"'---
The first I ever heard of 'curfew' was "a rule one's parents/guardians make up (like 'bedtime')---the time parents tell their kids they need to be 'back home'-by at night."
FindLaw tells us 'who has the authority to "declare" Mandatory Curfew'---mostly local officials (police cheifs, governors, mayors, etc.).
It seems like 'there should be a website' where you can see if there's a Mandatory Curfew in your area---some 'Mandatory-Curfew Registry' ... The web-search I suppose you could do instead led me to a report about the map below
... but I'm not sure how often the map will be updated, so it's best to contact your local authority and ask them (if you're not sure).
