Decide whether to Vote #Yes on (Oklahoma's) #StateQuestion802 @Ballotpedia @YesOn802 #NoIsAlsoWise @GovStitt @OCPAthink

'That word' (below-hyperlinked to a way for you to get more information about supporting YES on 802) is built on an even-deeper source ... something crucial that firms the foundation upon which our lexicon stands ...

The word “Yes” is built on ancient words that mean "|So |Be |It! (same as |Amen!)" (|Yea).

A friend of mine (a cousin-in-law who's President of the Oklahoma Council of Public Affairs) has been 'Facebook-campaigning' against SQ 802 (maybe 'real-life campaigning' too, but I haven't seen any of his work IRL), posting messages & videos like:
Then today in the mail I got a flier from "YES ON STATE QUESTION 802 - OKLAHOMANS DECIDE HEALTHCARE," and it made me want to respond to Councilor Jonathan:
I MAY have voted yes, for the reasons outlined in a flier I got in the mail today:

expanding healthcare coverage to nearly 200,000 Oklahomans, saving 28 rural hospitals, protecting 14,000 healthcare jobs, bringing home $1-billion of our tax-dollars

plus the backing of Oklahoma Pharmacists Association, Oklahoma Nurses Assoc, Greater Oklahoma City Chamber, Tulsa Regional Chamber, Oklahoma Academy of Family Physicians, Oklahoma Conference of Churches, Oklahoma Education Association, Oklahoma Hospital Association & Oklahoma State Medical Association (or at least 'the listing of all those groups by Yes On 802: Oklahomans Decide Healthcare')

is "control over healthcare & a little tax-money" worth more than 'thousands of jobs & a return of tax-money to our state'?
The flier in-full says:
FROM BIG CITIES TO SMALL TOWNS, AND ALL OUR COMMUNITIES IN BETWEEN (Oklahoma Pharmacists Association, Oklahoma Nurses Assoc, Greater Oklahoma City Chamber, Tulsa Regional Chamber, Oklahoma Academy of Family Physicians, Oklahoma Conference of Churches, Oklahoma Education Association, Oklahoma Hospital Association & Oklahoma State Medical Association) OKLAHOMANS ARE COMING TOGETHER TO
VOTE YES ON 802!

Voting YES on 802 "would give the state a stronger workforce, a more financially secure rural health care system and a healthier population."
-Tulsa World, 4/26/2020

  • VOTING YES on 802 will:
  • Expand healthcare to nearly 200,000 hardworking Oklahomans
  • Save 28 rural hospitals at risk of closing
  • Protect 14,000 essential healthcare jobs
  • Bring home $1 billion of our tax dollars every year from Washington, DC

Then there's Governor Stitt's analysis of the situation (something President Jonathan also posted on Facebook):

I guess it's up to you to look at the actual question & decide
