The word “Connor” is built on ancient words that mean "|Hound, Dog, Wolf + Desiring."
The surname "Conner" (if not connected to the first name) is built on ancient words that mean "Inspector" (occupational name for 'an Inspector of Weights & Measures ... and it just dawned on me (watching a recent episode of The Conners) that 'the survivors of the late Roseanne' (fictionally late ... I think Ms. Barr's still okay (October 8, 2022)) "live up to their name" and are excellent Con-men & -women!)
Know anything else interesting about that? Comment!
