Pesky #Alarm that Goes Off when Fellow Christians request we should #BelieveFor- or #PrayFor- or #HopeFor- or #FaithFor Money or -Housing or -Health @RabbiSchneider @Reddit @prayerDotOrg
I felt it necessary to clarify that–when a popular preacher tells you to (for instance) "Believe God for $100,000"–they don't mean 'Believe "this" (our story about The Being we say Created Us, the magic-show we us to win you to our side, etc.), and we'll give you $100,000," but they mean ... well, you still get the believed-for blessing; but the preacher means something different, like 'we know your belief (at-least in this specific entity) will help you to gain the blessing' ...

This touches on a little problem I have—when people in my social network announce, "I need all you guys's prayers for me!" an alarm in my head goes off, 'BWAAAAHRP! They're reaffirming the curse that "blessings happen 'if the crowd says they should rather than '-if Our Heavenly Father decides to bestow them upon us!'"'
This alarm is set up by a few Scriptures—mainly the section of The Gospel (of Matthew) where Jesus–teaching us how to pray–prefaces 'The Lord's Prayer' with
But if I start off my reply with 'a warning like that,' it seems as though I'm "condemning the prayer-requesters to hell*!" So I totally leave out 'what they don't need' and 'my guess at what they mean,' and skip straight to the conclusion—the matter will go as they & their friends & -family -etc. allow it to go, and they should all remember 'The Guidelines that Our Heavenly Father set down' (The Commandments (starting with The Big Ten, expanded into the next 500+, summarized by The Greatest One-or-Two).
'Alarm' (below-hyperlinked to a post about online-readers that "Bounce" or "Engage") is built on an even-deeper source ... something crucial that firms the foundation upon which our lexicon stands ...

do not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. Truly I tell you, they already have their full reward. But when you pray, go into your inner room, shut your door, and pray to your Father, who is unseen. And your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
And when you pray, do not babble on like pagans, for they think that by their many words they will be heard. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask Him.
So then, this is how you should pray:I'm sure there are quite a few Scriptures that 'say' (or 'are used by leading believers to convince other believers that they ought') to "pray without ceasing," but ... I guess the references above "overrule" those (in my mind).
‘Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be Your name....

The word “Alarm” is built on ancient words that mean "To (Ad-) + The (|Le) + Weapons (|Tools, Implements (of War), to Fit Together)" (Call to |Arms, Alert).
Know anything else interesting about that? Comment!
*But isn't 'the idea that Jesus is The Almighty God' the very
'cornerstone' of the Christian Church? And isn't 'the reason
people go to hell' because they sin (disobey the instructions of
God)? ... Don't worry about it ...
