TGZ's review of that weapon (The Strike Pen) is linked through 'the main word' below; but I feel it's more important to understand that word better. And I find that you understand words better when you look at the other words at the bases of the words you're thinking-of ...
The word “Weapon” is built on the proto-word *wēipna- (source also of wapan, vapn, vaaben, wepin, wapen, wafan, Waffe).
But--despite the simple idea that the name gives, the "It's just 'a pen' you 'strike' `em with, yeah?"--The Strike Pen also gives it's wielder ...
