'That word' (below-hyperlinked to ) is built on an even-deeper source ... something crucial that firms the foundation upon which our lexicon stands ...

The word “Idiolect” is built on ancient words that mean "One's Own, Personal" (#Idio-) + the second element of Dialect
"Idioglottic" (from 'Idio- + ancient words that mean Tongue') has a sense of "Using Words |Invented in one's own Mind."

I've never "heard" it called 'a branch of SLP,' but a) it literally is 'the way (pathology) of one's speech' & b) dialect coach Erik Singer describes it so well ...

Additional vocabulary Erik presents above:
Prosthetic, Hyper-Sibilant (Freddie Mercury), Received Pronunciation (RP ... Royal Posture—no 😆, that's Oral Posture), HighFall, TH-Fronting, Hypo-Sibilant (Winston Churchill), Accent, Velo-Pharyngeal Port, Rhoticity (Rhotic/Non-Rhotic), Voice, Rhythm, Pharyngeal Squeeze, 'Heightening' ("turn the dial up to 11"), sounds changed by placement of your Tongue-Tip (T, D, N, S, L), Ridiculousness (over-the-top, larger-than-life), Trilled R, Impersonation/Impression/Evocation/Vocal-Quality, Preparation, Consistency, Fascinating

I wonder if Erik's done any work with Fred Armisen ...
