The @HouseFloor #Inquiry to #Inquire as to whether @POTUS should be Impeached - #Enquire #Inquiring #Enquring
I'll talk about 'the process' further-down; but first, That word (the 'built' one below)—there might be something more to that word ... something crucial that firms the foundation upon which the our lexicon stands ...
The word “Inquire” (or Enquire, as in National Enquirer) is built on “Into + to Ask, Seek (Query)” (Search for, Examine, Scrutinize)
... but why has it taken so long for the U.S. government to put him up for impeachment?
- A Few Reasons
- For the first few years of his time-in-office, the legislative branch was controlled by 'the party that selected him' (you might call it "his party," but a) he was a member of 'a different party' when he first became famous & b) I'm not sure if 'his current party' still wants him as a member,
- (because it might behoove them to 'side with their constituents rather than -their candidate if The U.S. legislative branch's House of Representatives (The House) decides to propose Impeachment)
- In later years of his time in office, The House came under the control of 'a different party.' But they wouldn't 'form an inquiry-committee' because it's believed that 'the party that seleced him' (still in-power in The Senate at that time) was "loyal to their candidate" (more than they are to 'their constituents'? possibly), so a proposed Impeachment from The House would be cancelled by the 'loyal-to-President' Senate.
And I know the above might sound 'a little weird'—talking
about the stuff 'in the past tense' when some of it is still going-on
... I guess I don't know-how much of this is 'still ongoing,' or -if I'll
be able to get back to this post to edit when I hear about new proceedings ...
