The word “Black” is rooted in ancient words that mean “to Shine, Flash, Burn.”
"Black Friday"—the infamous 'day after the American Thanksgiving-holiday'–is so-named for the Smog from the large crowd (coined by the public traffic-managers, picked up by the merchants)—earlier used in reference to the Fridays of some years' Financial Crashes (1866, 1869, 1873), and many other 'Black Friday's before (and after).
