The word “Vain” carries the scent of “to Leave, Abandon” (Idle, Fruitless ... with the same root as "Vanity").
I can think of two times The Bible uses this word: The Commandment "Thou shalt not take the name of יהוה in vain," and The Teacher's exclamation "Vanity of Vanities! ... All is Vanity of Vanities!"
The commandment's 'in vain' might be better-translated "Deceitfully, Falsely, Worthlessly, Emptily"; The Teacher's 'vanity', "Breath, Delusion, Fleeting, Fraud, Futile, Nothing, Useless, Vapor" (also 'worthless & empty').
(the difference being that the second one tells us 'what things-in-life are truly worth'; and the first one tells us not to ask יהוה to give any of them to us!)
I'm sure that 'goes against' ZOE Family Ministries' 'Prosperous Gospel' (which isn't exactly the same as "the infamous Prosperity Gospel" ... in about the same way that "USMCA" isn't exactly the same as "NAFTA"), as ZFM believes that Our Father יהוה–though יהוה may not 'drop the treasures right in front of us'–doesn't want us to spend any time in poverty or want or lack!... at-least not any more time than it takes to realize how much we hate it!
