The name "Sherlock" is built on words that mean "|Blond, |Fair-|Haired."
Odd, since Sherlock Holmes is so often portrayed as having dark hair.
I suppose it's one of those 'ironic' names—the way 'Little John' is always HUGE, or those gargantuan girls that go by names like 'Tiny' or 'Lacey.'
