I want to get better at using metaphors. What do you suggest I do to accomplish this? A class? A writing prompt? I really suck at them. My mind goes blank. #WritingCommunity

Teacher Gill explains Metaphors (& #Similes---a little) in a vlog you can access through 'the emboldened link(s)' below; but first I want to teach you about those words. And I find you understand words better if you see 'the words at their base' (then going on to look at the words at those words' bases, then the words at those words' bases, etc.-etc. ad infinitum into their Foundation)
The word “Metaphor” is built on ancient words that mean "to Carry-, Bear- (give Birth) -Over, -Across."
#Metaphor #Metaphoric
The word “Similes” is built on ancient words that mean "Like, |Resembling, of the Same Kind (|Similar)."
