Apparently, @Adobe Ended the Life of #Flash in December 2020 @ChromiumDev @SpeckyBoy @Ecosia @Bing @DuckDuckGo
I doubt I'm 'breaking this news,' as Google Chrome (and probably all the other browsers that use Adobe Flash) have posted this news in a frame on the opening screen. But here it is, just in case you don't mess with desktop-browsers (like us slow-to-adapt "X-ennials").
With the development of "open standards like HTML5, WebGL & WebAssembly," Adobe has decided that 'it's time for the Je-(Flash)-di ... to end.'
'That word' (below-hyperlinked to Chrome's announcement of Adobe's plan) is built on an even-deeper source ... something crucial that firms the foundation upon which our lexicon stands ...
The word “Flash” (if not "a Sudden |Rush of Water" or "a Watery Place like a |Marsh or a |Swamp") is built on ancient words that mean "to Blow, |Swell" (actually, the name is from the combination of the two words of the program's earlier name, "FutureSplash).
Know anything else interesting about that? Comment!
