Well, I don't know that she defends "Scientology" (and all the weird stories they use to access their 'faith-senses' ... or whatever they call the mental faculties Scientology helps them use), but her statement on it is (I think) 'the core belief of Scientology'
I know what I know ...
'That word' (below-hyperlinked to ) is built on an even-deeper source ... something crucial that firms the foundation upon which our lexicon stands ...
The word “Scientology” is built on ancient words that mean "to |Know (|Science) + to |Collect, |Gather (|Speak→|Pick-out |Words)"
The word was coined by L. Ron Hubbard (to whom I'm only related by my grandfather's adoption into the Hubbard-family):
"Scientology" is a new word which names a new science. It is formed from the Latin word, "scio", which means KNOW, or DISTINGUISH, being related to the word "scindo", which means CLEAVE. (Thus, the idea of differentiation is strongly implied.) It is formed from the Greek word "logos", which means THE WORD or OUTWARD FORM BY WHICH THE INWARD THOUGHT IS EXPRESSED AND MADE KNOWN: also, THE INWARD THOUGHT or REASON ITSELF. Thus, SCIENTOLOGY means KNOWING ABOUT KNOWING, or SCIENCE OF KNOWLEDGE.
ET Canada's report lists a few other devout Scientologists, and then mentions a few former Scientologists (they who didn't have the mental endurance it sometimes takes to cover up all the lack you notice when you're not currently enjoying enough of the abundance).
Know anything else interesting about that? Comment!
