'Bud' (below-hyperlinked to more information about the advertised event) is built on an even-deeper source ... something crucial that firms the foundation upon which our lexicon stands ...
The word “Bud” (if not the short form of "Buddy") is built on either words that mean “|Push Forward, |Thrust” (Bag, |Purse; the shape of an Undeveloped Growth-|Point of a Plant) or words that mean "|Beetle" (Bug for which a Bud is often mistaken).


I would've posted this to the Facebook 'Word-of-Mouth for Alt-Weeklys'-group, but Facebook doesn't want to 'stand behind' anything that's not "universally approved-of in all States (yet)" and/or isn't "Federally legal (yet)."

... well, it looks like Buds & Brawls cleared the event with them (as it is 'a boxing event' that's merely 'cannabis friendly (to registered MMJ patients)'; but they still don't like it when I list these things there, as (they say) it "confuses people into thinking I'm selling ticket's there.
