I heard that–back in ancient times–kingdoms' rulers would be protected by crowds of palace-guards who used 'weapons formed from bundles of sticks' (not called fascia, but "Fasces").
It looks like the term "Fascia" applies to 'bundles of muscle in the throat,' as well as -to similar structures in Botany, Music, Astronomy ...
'That word' (below-hyperlinked to my post on throat-anatomy) is built on an even-deeper source ... something crucial that firms the foundation upon which our lexicon stands ...
