'That word' (below-hyperlinked to a post about AM-&-FM (as well as AM-&-PM)) is built on an even-deeper source ... something crucial that firms the foundation upon which our lexicon stands ...
The word “Amplitude” is built on words that mean “Large, Spacious” (Wide, Width, Seizable, to Grab—possibly built on "to Love" (Amy)).

I suppose that's not-to-be-confused-with "Amplify." ... Nope, 'Amplify' is also built on 'Ample'; but I'm not sure if 'Amplitude' and 'Amplification' are the same thing ('amplification' may be an F.M.-thing)


Or am I looking at that wrong (or 'wrongly' 🤓)? Tell
