#AutoSuggestion - The Third Principle of #ThinkAndGrowRich | #Suggestion #Suggest

Tell where to send email-alerts when I update the source-finding here

Napoleon Hill explains Auto-Suggestion as a necessary building-block of 'Faith' (again, that's not "Religion" or "Belief in God," but rather 'the human force behind people's success').

The original (1938) version is a little verbose—something that I'm sure I could read out loud if you paid me enough, but not written for today's scan-and-pick-up-key-information audience (although I did scan-&-pick-up some key information I'll quote below); but first ...

'That word' is built on an even-deeper source ... something crucial that firms the foundation upon which the our lexicon stands ...

The word “Suggestion” is built on “Under, Up from Below (Sub-) + to Bring, Carry (Gest)” (sense-evolution from 'Heap-up, Build' to 'bring Forward an Idea,' Proposal, Statement, Declaration ... Evil Prompting (the original notion in English)).

He explains (in so many words) that auto-suggestion is basically the process by which one feeds 'information' (plans & desires) into one's subconscious mind—where 'acting to carry-out your plans & desires' becomes as natural as "sitting-down comfortably, eating, breathing, etc."

He summarizes 'the process' (which I think he mentioned in the chapter on Faith), and I summarize his summary below:
  1. Find a quiet spot (like bed at night) where you won't be disturbed or interrupted, close your eyes and repeat ALOUD (crucial that you hear the words) your desired reward and what you intend to do or -give to get the reward. SEE YOURSELF ALREADY IN POSSESSION OF THAT REWARD—"I believe that I will have this reward in my possession. My faith is so strong that I can now see this reward before my eyes. I can touch it with my hands. It is now awaiting transfer to me at this time, and in the proportion that I deliver the goods or services I intend to render in return for it. I am awaiting a plan by which to accumulate the reward; and I will follow that plan when it is received."
  2. Place a written copy of 'your statement' (of your desired reward, planned product/service rendered & receipt-vision) where you can see it night and morning.
  3. Repeat this program night and morning until you can clearly envision your receipt of the reward.
And Napoleon Hill emphasizes this crucial faith-building exercise:
READ THE ENTIRE CHAPTER ALOUD ONCE EVERY NIGHT, UNTIL YOU BECOME THOROUGLY CONVINCED THAT THE PRINCIPLE OF AUTO-SUGGESTION IS SOUND, THAT IT WILL ACCOMPLISH FOR YOU ALL THAT HAS BEEN CLAIMED FOR IT. AS YOU READ, UNDERSCORE WITH A PENCIL EVERY SENTENCE WHICH IMPRESSES YOU FAVORABLY.
That's one reason you may want to purchase a 'brick-and-mortar' copy (although I'm sure Kindle- or various other devices-have functions that allow you to highlight/underline text in files there).

Or maybe I'm looking at it wrong—that's one reason
Our Father God said "It is not good for the man to be
alone":  "Because the man'll think he's right until someone else shows
him why he's not"—Won't you show me
if I'm right-or-wrong in the comments below?
