The word “Family” carries the scent of “|Servant, |Slave” (odd, because you'd expect 'Family' to be "Masters- (or Mistresses? Missuses?) served by the slaves & servants ... I'm not sure how 'Family' got "upgraded" from 'House-Maids & -Butlers' to 'Blood-Relatives' ...).
"Familiar" carries the scent of "Domestic, |Belonging to a Family."
